Question: What were you doing prior to owning a distributorship with The Real Estate Guide?
Answer: Prior to owning the Snohomish Real Estate Guide I worked for a yellow page company selling print advertising for 7 years.
Question: What is the most rewarding aspect of your new business?
Answer: The best part about owning your own business is that you can see direct results. Whatever get's done is because you did it and if there is a problem you can have a solution immediately. Of course the flexibility and being your own boss is great.
Question: At what point did you start yielding net profits from your new business?
Answer: We started seeing profits within the first month of the book publishing.
Question: Reflecting back, was it a good financial decision to start your own business?
Answer: Compared to purchasing most businesses, this is relatively inexpensive and you pay yourself back quickly. It was the best decision we made.
Question: Was it a good quality of life decision?
Answer: Absolutely! It has allowed us the freedom and flexibility to be able to spend more time with our kids and family.
Question: How long have you been doing the guide? How much time do you spend on it in a month?
Answer: We purchased the Real Estate Guide last October 2005 and published our first book in December of 2005. So we have now printed 8 publications.
Question: Did you get the support you needed when you needed it?
Answer: Whenever you need anything the support is always there. Any distributor and Brad & Randy are always there to answer any questions or give you a pick me up when needed. You never feel you are alone in the business.
Question: What would you change if you could?
Answer: Nothing, this is great!

Answer: I was Installing carpet for a living
Question: What is the most rewarding aspect of your new business?
Answer: Having time to be at home and spend time with my newborn son
Question: At what point did you start yielding net profits from your new business?
Answer: We made a profit the first month if you don't count paying back the start up capital
Question: Reflecting back, was it a good financial decision to start your own business?
Answer: Yes it was a very good decision to start this business
Question: Was it a good quality of life decision?
Answer: Yes our Quality of life keeps improving not only with money but with free Time
Question: How long have you been doing the guide? How much time do you spend on it in a month?
Answer: We are on our 5th issue and have been working on the guide for almost 7 months now & work about half as much as any regular job or less
Question: Did you get the support you needed when you needed it?
Answer: Yes the support is there for you and in place whenever you need it
Question: What would you change if you could?
Answer: the only thing I would change would be to have more personal friends involved in this so when I want to take off and play for the day on the boat or wherever, I have someone to tag along!
